Stress and Burnout Management
Many of us live busy lives, where we want to achieve and do the best we can. Also alas, we often have to cope with things outside of our control. These can start to challenge our ability to cope as well as we’d like and can lead to physical &/or psychological stress.
- Physical stress: when the demands we place on our body outweigh its ability to cope.
- Psychological stress: when we believe that demands outweigh our ability to cope, and it’s important that we get it right.
Our brain and body has evolved an incredible ‘flight, fright or fight’ coping response for short-term threats. But if the stress response remains for a long-time, it can lead to poor mental, physical and social health, including burnout.
Our highly-respected Associate, Bernadette Dancy, uses her expertise in stress and behaviour change to help you:
- Understand how the brain and body work together when stressed, and thus what increases and reduces stress.
- Understand what causes your stress and the main things that would help you to reduce it.
- Live the lifestyle habits that will rebuild personal health, energy, resilience.
Please email us and we will arrange for Bernie to contact you to discuss your support and support costs (In doing so, you give us permission to pass on your email message and contact details to Bernie).

Psychological Trauma

Psychological Trauma
Trauma increases the risk of chronic pain. This is due to a heightened sensitivity to danger – which, if you have trauma, you may, or may not be aware of.
Heightened sensitivity is also a key contributor to pain. We therefore like to refer anyone with trauma for specialist trauma support before helping them with pain.
Our highly experienced Associate, Sam Warner, can help. She has specific expertise in the impact of abuse-trauma on mental health, focusing on sexual violence, child abuse and neglect, and domestic abuse. Also, in respect of related issues including attachment difficulties and personality disorders, self-harm and suicide, dissociation and psychosis, and fabricated and induced illness.
Please email us and we will arrange for Sam to contact you to discuss your support and support costs (In doing so, you give us permission to pass on your email message and contact details to Sam).
